Don't forget to bring your consignor agreement with you to check in.
This will make the process go more quickly!
Thank you for your participation in our sale! One of the most exciting updates we've made to the sale is the new online tagging system.
By printing your own barcoded tags at home, you can track how many items you're consigning, how much you're projected to earn, AND you can monitor your sales online!
As a returning consignor, you'll need to register for this sale before entering items.
Here is the link for Returning Consignor Registration.
Just enter your consignor number and the password is either the last 4 digits of your phone number or "nown"
(the last 4 letters of "unknown.")
New consignors can register here: New Consignor Registration
After you've registered, you can start entering items by clicking here: Item Entry and Tag Printing
When preparing your items for online tagging, it's easiest to hang your items first, then separate your clothing items by gender and size
BEFORE sitting down at the computer. Entering your items online goes VERY quickly this way!
Remember to use YELLOW CARD STOCK (found by the ream or by the sheet at major office suppliers and copy centers)
for the items you want back at the end of the sale! Regardless of what you choose from the item entry menu, we're still only pulling and sorting the
YELLOW TAGGED items to return. Please, if you wish to donate the item, do not tag it with a yellow tag.

What You Need to Know
You can make some extra cash by selling your children’s outgrown (but in good condition) clothes, equipment, and toys, while helping other parents outfit their growing children! When you consign with us, you prepare your items and tag them with the price that you think is appropriate. The tag must also include a description of the item and your consignor number. As a consignor you will receive 60% of the sale price and MOPS will receive 40%. A $3.00 registration fee will be deducted from the final proceeds check to help defray the costs associated with the sale, such as postage, advertising, and equipment.
If you have consigned with us before, you may choose to use your own tags.
We know that some people tag their items in advance.
The Fall/Winter 2008 sale is the last sale at which we will accept
anything
other than barcoded tags!
New consignors MUST use the new online tagging system.

- Hang clothing on adult-sized wire hangers, with the hook pointing to the left as shown above. Pants should be hung on hangers using large safety pins towards the middle of the waist, to prevent slipping. Outfits should be arranged as shown, with the top in front, and pants hung on back. Attach matching bows, socks, etc, with safety pins or cable ties.
- Attach one consignor tag to each item or outfit, using a large safety pin or cable tie, placing the tag to the upper right as shown above.
- For onesies, socks, and other small items, place same-size items in ziplock bags, and attach your consignor tag using clear packing tape.
- For strollers, cribs, highchairs, car seats, and other large items, tags may be attached using cable ties or clear packing tape.
- Please secure puzzles and toys with multiple pieces using cellophane wrap or ziplock bags, and attach ONE tag.
How to Prepare Your Tags
- Register with our new system, either as a returning consignor
or a new consignor.
If you are a returning consignor, enter your consignor number. Your password is either the last 4 digits of your phone number or "nown"
(the last 4 letters of "unknown.")
- After you've registered, you can start entering your items here: Item
Entry and Tag Printing
- We find that it’s easiest to first hang your clothing items, then separate them by size and gender. Next, sit down at the computer and
start entering items into your inventory. Item entry goes VERY quickly this way!
- Please enter a detailed description of your item, including the brand name, on the tag. If the tag becomes separated from the item, we
may be able to match it back up if provided a good description.
- You’ll note that there are several categories of toys. We find that toys sell best when organized into like items. Please choose the appropriate
category for your item.
- Use only card stock paper, not thin paper, to print out your tags.
- Use only YELLOW card stock if you want to pick up your unsold items at the end of the sale. (Yellow cardstock is
readily available in office supply stores by the ream, or at copy centers by the single sheet.) Unsold items tagged with any color other than yellow will
automatically be donated to charity.
- We can not sell items without tags, so please attach your tags securely. Cable ties work best for clothing
items. (We will still accept safety pins, though.) Painter’s tape works well for books and puzzles (clear packing tape may tear them at check-out.)
- Please use cable ties to keep multiple-piece items together (car seats and strollers, game systems and cartridges, toys and their cases, etc.)
- We use your tags to tally your total sales, so they must remain intact - even after we remove them at checkout! USE ONLY CARD STOCK PAPER!
How to Price Your Items
- A good rule of thumb for clothing is to price your item at about 25% to 50% of what the item sold for when new, on sale. So an item that retailed at 25.00, but sold at clearance for 10.00 should be priced between $2.00 and $5.00. Consider the condition of your item. If it’s in like
new condition, or still has the tags on, you can price it higher than if it’s more “lived in.”
- Outfits are worth more than the sum of their parts! That is, a shirt might sell for only $2.00 and a pair of pants might sell for only $3.00. But the outfit, together, could sell for more than $5.00. Add a matching bow and socks, and the value goes up even more!
- For toys and equipment, consider the original price, the condition, and the availability of the item.
- Keep in mind that some of our shoppers rely on the consignment sale to clothe their families, and give their children toys. Wouldn’t you rather sell your stuff, even at 50% off, than take it back home?
Helpful Hints
- For clothing with range sizing (6-12 months, for example), or unusual sizing (European sizing, or “medium”) use your experience with the garment and good mama judgment to assign a SINGLE size value. If an item is size 5 but fits like a 4t, write “fits like 4t,” and we’ll place it in the area where 4t shoppers can find it!
- Please sort your clothing by gender and size before you drop it off! We want to display your items correctly!
